JPEG
Joint Photographics Experts Group. A type of image file format that uses compression techniques to reduce the size of the file on disc. These files will be of the type “anything.jpg”.

Kbyte
Kilo Byte. A “byte” is 8 bits of digital information and can be thought of like a character (e.g. the letter “A”) in a text document.  A “Kilo Byte” is one thousand bytes. This term is used to indicate the size of a file. See also GByte, Mbyte.

LAN
Local Area Network. A network of computers usually confined to a single office or single building. See also WAN.

Link
A word or phrase on a web page which, when click on, will cause your browser to view a different part of the web page, or a new web page altogether. Links are usually identified by underlining the word or phrase. The same as Hyperklink.
